The ICI Institute draws on research teams across seven research units and fosters collaboration among 800 staff members from Aix-Marseille University, the CRCM, INSERM, the IPC, and the AP-HM.
The ICI Institute offers a range of initiatives that benefit researchers, faculty members, engineers, postdocs, and doctoral students in its laboratories:
Purchase of single-cell analysis equipment through the “SingleCellEX+” project and co-funding from partners
Calls for interdisciplinary research proposals (A*MIDEX program)
Partnership with the PACA Cancer Research Cluster
Annual scientific conference on interdisciplinary fields at the research/clinical interface
Initiation of inter-institutional projects, e.g., a “Cancer and Microbiology” conference with the IM2B Institute
I would like to thank the Institut Cancer et Immunologie for their dedication to advancing projects that are both structuring and innovative in the regional context. I applied for the A*MIDEX Interdisciplinarity 2022 call for projects with the help of ICI, which set up a "fair play" pre-selection system for all researchers, while remaining rigorous in its selection criteria. Following ICI's endorsement, my research project was able to enter the selection process set up by A*MIDEX. I then called on the institute again to finance a thesis project [...]
