Each year, the Institute for Cancer and Immunology (ICI) is committed to offering a diverse range of calls for proposals and opportunities to support research and training projects. These initiatives are open to students, doctoral candidates, faculty members, and researchers. Since its creation in January 2020, the institute—thanks to the involvement of its members—has been able to support numerous initiatives in a variety of complementary disciplines, such as biology, the arts, and the humanities and social sciences.

Calls for Proposals/RESEARCH Grants
Mission
This call includes two tracks: “dissemination” and “collaboration.”
- Dissemination: To encourage mobility and international collaborations by participating in scientific events.
- Collaboration: To offer doctoral students, postdocs, engineers, or early-career researchers the opportunity to undertake a short-term mobility assignment for scientific collaboration.
Incentive Initiative
This call aims to encourage new collaborative projects by supporting innovative and high-quality initiatives between the institute’s laboratories (at least two laboratories). Priority is given to projects that draw on interdisciplinary expertise.
Laboratory/Association Collaboration Initiative
The objective of this initiative is to strengthen and develop collaborations between patient associations and the institute’s laboratories.
Calls for Proposals/TRAINING Grants
Completion of a Thesis
To support doctoral students in their research projects, the ICI Institute offers up to a 6-month thesis extension. This grant is intended for doctoral students who are conducting their thesis research in one of the Institute’s laboratories and who need additional time for their experimental work or writing.
Master’s Internship
As a research and training institute, ICI supports Master’s students in their research projects. In addition to offering specialized training programs, the institute issues an annual call for proposals dedicated to internship grants.
Training
This call aims to promote training, encourage career development, and help institute members acquire new skills.
