Josune Urrutia Asua holds the ICI/Iméra Research-Creation Chair in Oncology and Immunology. She explores the potential of drawing and graphic storytelling to make cancer research more accessible and humane. In Marseille, she uses art to illustrate scientific advances and make it easier to understand this complex disease. Inspired by authors such as Siddhartha Mukherjee, she is also developing an archive documenting the experiences of creative women in the face of cancer. Josune is an artist and teacher who combines art, education and interdisciplinarity to transform scientific communication.
